- Evaluate current shrimp health management practices in the region by conductingbiosecurity audits of all existing shrimp farms, and identify the key risk factors.
- Set up farm-specific, bimonthly surveillance programs at two major shrimp farmingfacilities, one on Guam and the other on Saipan, as models for other operations.
- Promote awareness of biosecurity in the region via various means of education, and prepare and distribute a comprehensive summary report to aquaculture stakeholders andcorresponding government agencies.
