- Demonstrate under controlled laboratory conditions the transmission and infectivity of the GGS agent.
- Describe in detail by light microscopy the external and internal characteristics of Gracilaria tikvahiae affected by GGS.
- Characterize the bacterial communities associated with Gracilaria tikvahiae unaffected and affected by GGS.
- Develop a probe for identification of biochemical markers of GGS or the GGS agent.
