Overall Goal
This project will use a genomics approach to investigate resistance of L. vannamei to the microsporidian parasite E. hepatopenaei to benefit the Hawaii shrimp genetic improvement and broodstock supply industry.

Objectives
1. Production of two (2) cohorts of SPF shrimp families for EHP challenges.
2. EHP challenge of two (2) shrimp cohorts under “real-world” farming
3. Genotyping and analyses.
4. Dissemination of results.
