Regional Notes

Under a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Center for Tropical and Subtropical Aquaculture (CTSA) funds research, development, demonstration and extension projects. A number of publications resulting from these projects are available on this website.

The Regional Notes section features pdf versions of our monthly electronic newsletter (and our printed quarterly newsletters from past years). Articles summarizing CTSA-funded projects are included in the newsletter, along with monthly features such as our Farmer and Pacific Island Spotlights. If you are interested in signing up to receive Regional e-Notes, please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

The CTSA Publications section contains a list of various articles and technical reports that have been produced by the Center in conjunction with sponsored researchers. Accompanying PDF files of some of these publications are available for download. Unless noted, hard copies are available and can be obtained by contacting the CTSA Administrative Offices. Information Fact Sheets, also produced by the Center, are available in hard-copy format by contacting the CTSA Administrative Offices.

In addition to our in-house publications, multiple researchers have published articles about their CTSA-sponsored projects in scientific journals, as listed in the Journal Publications section. Copies of these can be obtained directly from the author. In addition, copies of various Presentations and Other Research Reports can also be obtained from their authors.

AIP Publications are produced under the Aquaculture Interchange Program (AIP), an international NOAA project the Center is heavily involved in. AIP conducts workshops in Honolulu where international experts gather to summarize and exchange current information critical to the growth of U.S. aquaculture. Proceedings of the workshops are listed in this section and published as special issues of peer-reviewed journals or as books. Some are available for download in PDF format; others are available from the publishers.
